A Simple Approach to Creating Opportunities for Others
Jordan Madison wakes up each morning with a singular mission: to make at least one person smile and laugh that day.
Somehow, that simple goal has driven Jordan to be one of the most active student leaders at Georgia Tech. Born in Chicago and raised in McDonough, Madison is a third year Computer Science major involved in many service positions, such as:
Director of Communications at HackGT
Georgia Tech Student Ambassador
President of Minorities@The College of Computing
Peer Leader (Residential Assistant for Freshman)
Madison's first foray into hackathons was a small College of Computing Appathon in his freshman year. He was hooked. Since then, he's joined the leadership team at HackGT, which beat out 149 other schools to win first place in the MLH North American Hackathon Season in 2017. Madison was a crucial part in the creation of HackGT Catalyst, a free event where underserved metro Atlanta high school students explore technology and learn from mentors at Georgia Tech and sponsors like Google, Facebook, and more.
This summer, Madison is pursuing a second internship with Team Xbox at Microsoft. To learn more about HackGT, visit www.hack.gt.
